Introduction

By learning about the Greek gods and goddess, we preserve a cultural heritage and learn the relevance of oral history. Greek mythology often teaches a lesson about life or explains a force of nature.  These classic myths have a definite impact on our society today, and can be seen in many different advertisements, stories, and even in our everyday vocabulary.   Through the investigation of the lives of the 12 Olympians you will gain more insight into their importance to our lives today.

Task

• Using the research tools listed below, learn as much as time permits about the three gods/goddess you have chosen.  What were their god-like qualities and powers?

• Save pictures that depict your god/goddess and their symbols in your picture file.

• Create a slogan or advertisement that portrays your god/goddess and their traits.

• Create a fandex card on each one of your gods/goddesses incorporating research and pictures as indicated.
